Job Overview
This position plays a crucial role in fostering and maintaining strong relationships with our subcontractors in the bidding process. With your cultivation of these strong relationships comes trust, a positive reputation within the industry, and a strong subcontractor base for us to work with. You are often the first person to make contact with subcontractors in the life cycle of a bid/project. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to help with some marketing tasks that further develop our relationships with both our employees and our clients.
You should be a great communicator, professional, organized and have a strong desire to learn – creativity would be an added bonus!
You will work directly with the Estimating Coordinator and the Marketing & Business Development Director.
What will you be doing?
- Assist estimating coordinator with official documents, printing quotes and saving files in our internal database.
- Send out coverage requests to sub-contractors to see if they are interested in providing a quote for the project in question.
- Maintain and update ISQFT and Planhub subcontractor database including calling to verify subcontractor information and bid status.
- Building & facilitating subcontractor relationships with continued outreach
- Print construction drawings and specifications for the estimating team.
- Attend estimating meetings to discuss upcoming and future bids.
- Day of Bid subcontractor bid estimate de-scoping support.
- Attend formal Subcontractor De-Scope meetings.
- Attend site walks with Preconstruction Manager.
- Handle inbound and outbound calls efficiently, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
- Assist with MLB quarterly newsletters and social media posts
- Create project information sheets
- Conduct 4k/360 video on site for digital portfolio

Construction Project Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Construction Project Engineer to join our growing team! This position provides technical support to construction staff under the supervision of an Assistant Project Manager or Project Manager. This is a support role in which the individual gains knowledge of working on projects/matters of relatively limited complexity. Work is closely managed.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Reviews the project design and bidding documents. Understand Project plans and Specifications.
- Maintain and distribute project plans.
- Assists the project team with site safety documentation and coordination.
- Assists PMs in buyout and scope review.
- Reviews submittals for all subcontractors.
- Assists in obtaining subcontractor and vendor backup.
- Reviews all backup for accuracy and completeness.
- Draft all NOC and proposals for PMs.
- Learns and understands the importance of a master schedule.
- Attends all subcontractor, project team, and owner meetings.
- Drafts all RFI’s for PM’s review.
- Learns and understands the importance of the monthly safety report on projects.
- Stays up to date with the PMs on all subcontractor concerns, scope, and document paperwork required.
- Shadows the PM in reviewing the evaluation of the project.
- Assists the PM in reviewing all subcontractor billings and supplier/vendor billings.
- Assists the project Superintendent on RFI’s and clarifications of documents.
- Review certified payrolls before submission.
- Assist the PM in setting up and holding pre-construction meetings.
- Assist the Superintendent in scheduling day to day activities.
- Record project minutes for various meetings as needed.
- Ensuring fair treatment of subcontractors at all times.
- Perform additional assignments under supervision or under the supervisor’s direction. Required Skills/Abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Blue Beam, ISqFt, Timberline, Sage, and Primavera P6, Software preferred.
- LEED Green Associate, LEED AP, and OSHA Certifications preferred.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in related construction management/engineering-related field is required.
- Construction Management experience is preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to feel comfortable working on a job site.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on the computer.
- Must be able to lift 20 pounds at a time.
- Ability to drive to project site when necessary.

Pay: $65,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
